The Archivist was founded in 1998. As the name might suggest; the archives of the Natural History Museum is where we first began. Although the archives have changed the enthusiasm for hunting for images has not gone. Collaborating with artists all over the world, we have created the finest range of British Letterpress Cards, Prints and lest we forget our luxury matches.
Ink and Paper have always been central ingredients to the business and now that we are the proud owners of Britain’s largest dedicated Letterpress printing facility, we have the wherewithal to take our famous quality and innovation to even higher levels. All Archivist matches are are completely plastic free! The outer film wrap is compostable, so just put it in your food bin. All their products are either 100% recyclable or biodegradable.
The matches are also toxin free; unlike other matches that contain harmful toxins like sulphur or zinc oxide.
